Job summary

GOALS Flexible Learning Options Campus, part of Lavers Hill K-12 College, seeks a Senior Secondary Flexible Learning teacher to support VPC and VM delivery. The role emphasises project-based learning, small cohorts and collaborative practice to re-engage students in meaningful, real-world learning.

The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team, delivering across Literacy, Numeracy, Work Related Skills and Personal Development, in a supportive, trauma-informed environment

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Victorian Pathways Certificate and the VCE Vocational Major, or capacity to develop this knowledge, including literacy/numeracy in applied learning contexts.
• Experience planning for high impact teaching strategies and applying them in an applied learning model.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning, using data to inform practice and provide feedback.
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills to engage disengaged students and collaborate with staff and families.
• Commitment to Department values and trauma-informed re-engagement practice.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals to achieve specific student outcomes.
• Contribute to curriculum development, implementation and evaluation within the school context.
• Undertake other classroom teaching-related and organisational duties as determined by leadership.
• Supervise and mentor student teachers where applicable.
• Assist staff to use student data to inform teaching approaches and improve learning outcomes.
