Job summary

Department of Education Victoria’s GOALS campus in Colac invites applications for a Senior Secondary Flexible Learning - VPC/VM Team Teaching role. The position focuses on delivering an applied, student-centred curriculum for Year 10 and beyond within a VPC/VM framework, emphasizing trauma-informed engagement and personalised pathways.

Qualifications

• SC1: Knowledge of the Victorian Pathways Certificate and the VCE Vocational Major, or capacity to develop this knowledge, including planning and delivering across Literacy, Numeracy, Work Related Skills and Personal Development, and embedding the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills within applied learning contexts.
• SC2: Experience planning for and implementing high impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, with applied learning and project-based delivery.
• SC3: Experience monitoring and assessing student learning, tracking progress and using data to inform teaching and provide feedback.
• SC4: Interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with disengaged learners and collaborate with families, staff and the school community.
• SC5: Commitment to trauma-informed and re-engagement practice and reflection on practice.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals; contribute to curriculum planning and delivery across VPC/VM and FLO contexts.
• Develop and assess learning programs that respond to student needs and pathways; embed literacy/numeracy in applied projects.
• Participate in team-teaching, data review, reporting to parents and school leadership; undertake other duties aligned to role and salary range.
• Support student wellbeing and engagement; collaborate with colleagues to implement school priorities and policies.
