Job summary

The Seymour Flexible Learning Centre, part of the Department of Education Victoria, is seeking a Classroom Teacher - Generalist to support Year 7–12 students in a flexible learning environment at Seymour campus.

You will deliver literacy and numeracy, implement high‑impact teaching strategies, monitor student progress with data, and work with families, colleagues and the community to foster student wellbeing and achievement. Applicants must be VIT registered and committed to inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning high‑impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning growth.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform practice.
• Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration with students, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to curriculum development and evaluation within the school.
• Undertake other classroom duties and organizational tasks as required.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings and school activities.
