Job summary

Boggabilla Central School invites applications for a Head Teacher Mentor who will lead teaching, learning and student achievement across Years 9 to 12. The role includes curriculum planning, programming, assessment, reporting and Personalised Learning Pathways for senior students.

As a member of the school executive, you will coordinate VET and contribute to whole‑school planning, while building culturally responsive practices with Aboriginal staff and the community.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated deep knowledge and understanding of culture, identity and linguistic background for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students.
• Collaborative leadership within a school executive, driving whole‑school initiatives and strong stakeholder engagement.
• Knowledge of education in rural and remote NSW communities, and capability to lead personalised learning and wellbeing approaches.
• Ability to lead and implement Department, NESA and VET requirements across senior years.
• Commitment to NSW Connected Communities strategy and Walking Together Working Together partnership.

Responsibilities

• Lead teaching, learning and student achievement across Years 9–12.
• Oversee curriculum planning, programming, assessment and reporting.
• Coordinate VET and post‑school pathways, including apprenticeships and traineeships.
• Support accreditation requirements and build a positive performance culture.
• Contribute to school planning and strategic directions as a member of the school executive.
