Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Scheduling Manager to lead workforce scheduling across residential aged care services in Australia. You will manage a seven-person team, ensuring rosters meet care-minute targets while maintaining compliance with awards and enterprise agreements.

The role collaborates with Centre Managers and other leaders to improve workforce reporting and operational performance. You will use UKG, Emprevo and Workday to support scheduling, reporting and information flow,

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in workforce scheduling within a large organisation.
  • Experience leading and developing a scheduling team.
  • Strong knowledge of KPIs, roster performance and payroll processes.
  • Experience in award or enterprise agreement environments.
  • Advanced Excel and workforce-data analysis capability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a seven-person Scheduling Team.
  • Ensure shifts are scheduled and covered per approved rosters.
  • Monitor KPIs and care-minute targets; provide insights to leaders.
  • Prepare workforce reports and inform operational decisions.
  • Monitor agency usage, overtime and vacancies; mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with Centre Managers to improve roster performance.
  • Maintain master roster templates across services; ensure compliance.
