Megavar seeks a Senior SCADA Engineer to lead the design and commissioning of substation automation systems from concept through site handover, across a varied caseload of transmission and distribution projects.

You will own the technical integration of complex control and automation systems, coordinate with client SCADA reps, contribute to tenders, and drive delivery on time and within budget. Flexible offices in Hobart, Launceston, Adelaide or Newcastle.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering.
• At least 5 years' experience in SCADA and controls (automation).
• Experience delivering end-to-end SCADA projects.
• Familiarity with IEC 61850, RTU, PLC and HMI designs.
• Proven track record leading design and commissioning on complex upgrades.

We're looking for a Senior SCADA Engineer to lead the design and commissioning of substation automation systems, from concept through to site handover, across a genuinely varied caseload of transmission and distribution projects.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading, reviewing and verifying detailed designs and technical reports for substation automation systems, including IEC 61850 schemes.
• Delivering substation automation projects from concept through to commissioning.

What We're Looking For

• A bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering.
• At least 5 years' experience in SCADA and controls (automation), with the ability to deliver complete end-to-end solutions.
• Demonstrated experience with control system hardware and software from major vendors such as Citect, Foxboro, GE, Schweitzer (SEL) and Siemens.
• A track record leading design and commissioning on complex upgrades of existing plant.
• Familiarity with primary and secondary systems hardware and nomenclature in transmission and distribution substations.
• Detailed working knowledge of SCADA system design, RTU and gateway configuration, PLC and HMI configuration, Ethernet switch and router configuration, and database systems.
• Demonstrated leadership: influencing, motivating and delegating across project teams.
