Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a Senior Network Development Engineer to lead hands-on integration and testing of satellite communications and ground-network capabilities. You will work across RF, networking, embedded software, and cloud services to bring new features from lab integration to end-to-end validation.

You will collaborate with systems, hardware, software, RF, networking, and operations teams to determine whether failures originate in payload, RF, gateway, terminal, transport network, or cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of experience in satellite/wireless/network testing or end-to-end testing.
• Experience troubleshooting using packet captures, logs, and telemetry.
• Experience with Linux and network troubleshooting tools (tcpdump, Wireshark, iperf).
• Knowledge of IP networking including TCP/UDP, routing, MTU, latency, throughput.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end integration and validation of satellite communications features across payload, gateways, terminals, transport networks, and cloud services.
• Develop and execute test campaigns for functionality, performance, reliability, scale, and failure recovery.
• Translate requirements into test plans, use cases, and verification matrices.
• Bring up new test configurations by integrating terminals, gateways, payloads, RF, and cloud services.
• Troubleshoot complex issues using packet captures, logs, telemetry, RF measurements, and test data.
• Isolate issues using tools like tcpdump and Wireshark to identify root causes.
• Analyze RF conditions, MAC, Layer 2/3, transport protocols, and application performance.
• Correlate RF conditions with network performance and behavior.
• Automate test execution, data collection, and reporting using Python.
