Job summary

At is seeking a Senior SAP Functional Consultant to lead the remediation and stabilisation of its manufacturing SAP environment. The role focuses on end-to-end health checks, cross-functional collaboration, and rapid issue resolution to stabilise manufacturing and supply chain processes.

The successful candidate will drive improvements across SD, PP, MM and WM, manage master data and cross-module integration, and report progress to senior leaders.

• Strong expertise across SAP SD, PP, MM and WM modules and related processes.
• Hands-on troubleshooting spanning system, data, process and user training issues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end health check of the SAP environment and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with factory floor, warehouse, sales, purchasing and office staff to identify operational issues.
• Document, assess and prioritise issues based on impact to operations and business.
• Diagnose root causes across configuration, master data, process design, integration and user capability.
• Address and resolve immediate issues impacting orders, production, inventory and warehouse operations.
• Review and optimise SAP SD, PP, MM and WM processes for alignment and efficiency.
• Improve management of production orders, inventory control and WIP/FG tracking.
• Address warehouse output issues, stock documentation and label printing.
• Develop a stabilisation roadmap and correct configuration and process issues.
• Coordinate SAP resources and transfer knowledge to internal teams.
• Provide regular progress updates to senior management on risks and critical issues.

Senior SAP Functional Consultant – Manufacturing

Exciting Opportunity for a Senior SAP Functional Consultant – Manufacturing & Supply Chain. An established Australian manufacturer, recently undertaking a major SAP migration, is seeking a skilled and hands-on Senior SAP Functional Consultant to lead the remediation and stabilisation of their SAP environment. This initial 6-month contract offers a fantastic chance to make a tangible impact by resolving critical system issues, stabilising manufacturing and supply chain processes, and setting the path for ongoing operational excellence. Location is based at Clovelly Park, SA, with work arrangements to be confirmed, including possible on-site requirements.

As the selected candidate, you will:

• Conduct a comprehensive end-to-end health check of the current SAP environment and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate closely with factory floor teams, warehouse, sales, purchasing, and office staff to understand practical issues affecting operations.
• Document, assess, and prioritise issues based on operational and commercial impact.
• Diagnose root causes across configuration, master data, process design, system integration, and user capability.
• Address and resolve immediate issues impacting customer orders, production, inventory, and warehouse operations.
• Review and optimise SAP SD, PP, MM and WM processes to achieve alignment and efficiency.
• Improve management of production orders, inventory control, and tracking of work-in-progress and finished goods.
• Address warehouse output issues, including stock documentation and label printing.
• Develop a structured stabilisation roadmap, correcting configuration and process issues.
• Coordinate specialist SAP resources when necessary and facilitate practical knowledge transfer to internal teams.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on progress, risks, and critical issues.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Proven experience as a Senior SAP Functional Consultant or SAP Functional Lead with post-go-live stabilisation experience.
• Strong SAP modules experience, especially in Sales and Distribution (SD), Production Planning (PP), Materials Management (MM), and Warehouse Management (WM).
• Broad understanding of manufacturing planning, production control, inventory management, and finished goods tracking.
• Expertise in master data management, functional configuration, and cross-module process integration.
• Hands-on troubleshooting skills spanning system, data, process, and user training issues.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders across factory, warehouse, corporate, and executive levels.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of outcomes, and adapt to dynamic operational needs.

It is desirable if you have:

• Experience working directly on SAP stabilisation, remediation, or optimisation projects in manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of warehouse documentation processes, output management, and label printing.
