Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Senior Salesforce Engineer to lead hands-on Salesforce engineering within a multi-year digital modernization strategy. You will drive CI/CD, deployment automation and release management across complex enterprise environments, covering Apex, LWC, OmniStudio and Experience Cloud.

You will collaborate with product and delivery teams, coach engineers, review code, and promote best practices while managing deployments across multiple environments from Sydney CBD.

Job description

I am looking for a Senior Salesforce Engineer to join a multi-year Digital Modernisation Strategy.

This role combines hands-on Salesforce engineering with CI/CD, deployment automation and release management, helping ensure reliable delivery across complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Salesforce solutions across development, configuration and platform enhancements.
• Support technical delivery across Apex, integrations, Lightning Web Components (LWC), OmniStudio and Experience Cloud.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and release processes.
• Manage Salesforce environments, source control, branching strategies and deployments across multiple environments.
• Support production releases, troubleshoot deployment issues and maintain platform stability.
• Identify technical risks, manage defects and maintain quality through testing, code reviews and release controls.
• Collaborate with product managers and delivery teams to plan releases, estimate work and manage technical risks.
• Coach engineers, review code and promote engineering best practices.

Skills & Experience

• Strong Salesforce development, configuration and administration experience.
• Proven experience establishing and managing Salesforce CI/CD and release management processes.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Salesforce DX or similar DevOps tools.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce CLI, Git, pull requests, branching strategies and deployment automation.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce security, environment management and deployment best practices.

Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification, or equivalent hands‑on experience, is required. Public Sector Solutions certification is desirable.

Day rate contract - 11 months

Pay rate - $1,000 to $1,200 + Super

Hybrid arrangements in Sydney's CBD - 2 days a week
