Descrizione del lavoro

A Day in the Life

Join Medtronic's Robotic Surgical Technologies (RST) team as a Senior Robotic Clinical Specialist for Australia and New Zealand and help shape the future of robotic surgery.

The Surgical Robotics Clinical Specialist plays one of the most important roles within RST at Medtronic, supporting our customers during the launch, development and expansion of their surgical robotics programs. The RCS manages the end-to-end integration, operational readiness, clinical adoption and growth of the Robotic-Assisted Surgery (RAS) system. The team supports system installation and start-up, customer and clinical training, account assessment, workflow optimization, and the transition toward a sustainable, scalable and high-performing robotic program.

In this role as an RCS, you will be responsible for the successful integration of the RAS system in hospitals across Australia and New Zealand. This may involve managing implementation of new robotic programs and digital surgery solutions or expanding existing robotic surgery programs. You will provide intensive, account-specific support throughout the implementation and clinical learning phases, partnering with hospital stakeholders to build capability, embed safe and efficient workflows, build toward operational self-sufficiency, and drive system adoption and utilisation to maximise clinical and operational outcomes.

This is a fully remote, field-based role that requires travel up to 50% of the time.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of robotic-assisted surgical systems and digital surgery solutions across Australia and New Zealand, supporting both new program launches and the expansion of existing robotic surgery programs.
  • Partner with Medtronic Field Service Engineers and hospital teams to prepare operating rooms, associated workflows, and clinical teams for the installation and use of the RAS system.
  • Develop surgeon training plans, coordinate participation in Medtronic training programs, and arrange proctored cases following training, as required.
  • Collaborate with Customer Training and Professional Affairs & Education (PACE) teams to develop, coordinate, and execute surgeon, operating room, and multidisciplinary team training plans.
  • Deliver customer training and ongoing clinical education for newly installed systems and established robotic programs across ANZ.
  • Build trusted relationships across surgeons, nurses, sterile processing teams, operating room management, hospital leadership, and relevant administrative stakeholders.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between hospital stakeholders and Medtronic teams, ensuring clear communication, ownership, and timely escalation of risks or issues.
  • Collaborate with RST commercial and clinical teams to support program development initiatives, expand stakeholder engagement, and advance growth opportunities within established robotic programs and active robotic business opportunities. Collaborate with broader Medtronic teams to identify and advance opportunities that support the development and expansion of robotic surgery programs while contributing to broader Medtronic business objectives.
  • Support the standardisation and optimisation of operating room workflows, team roles, room set-up, inventory planning, case preparation processes, and procedural readiness activities.
  • Use account and program data to identify adoption barriers, support corrective actions, and inform implementation priorities.
  • Contribute to strategic projects, pilot programs, and new business initiatives across ANZ as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree plus 4 years relevant experience with medical devices industry
  • Operating Room knowledge or experience
  • Demonstrated ability to operate from idea generation, strategy development through detailed implementation and results delivery
  • Experience in change management process
  • Valid driver’s license and own transport and willingness to travel as required to meet business needs.
