Job summary

SMEC (An SJ Group Company) on the Gold Coast is inviting expressions of interest from Senior, Associate and Principal-level Engineers with 10+ years' experience in roads, highways and major transport infrastructure. Opportunities span design delivery and construction phase services, offering technical leadership and career growth in a global infrastructure consultancy.

Role may include detailed design, design management, technical review, project management, mentoring, and client relationship

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
Experience across roads, highways or major transport infrastructure.
Strong technical knowledge across road design and/or Independent Verification.

Responsibilities

Deliver road/highway design across major transport infrastructure projects.
Perform technical reviews and provide senior engineering input on complex design packages.
Support or lead contract administration, verification and design assurance activities.
Review engineering designs, calculations, reports and technical documentation.
Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary project teams.
Manage work packages across scope, program, quality and commercial requirements.
Collaborate with clients, delivery partners, contractors and stakeholders.
Mentor developing engineers and strengthen technical capability within the team.
Contribute to project pursuits, client relationships, governance and business development at Associate/Principal level.
