Job summary

Sydney Trains seeks a risk professional to develop and govern the organisation's Risk Register, ensuring data quality and robust controls. You will provide expert analysis to inform executive risk-based decisions and support safety initiatives across business units.

The role requires collaborating with senior leaders to interpret safety data, deliver insightful risk reports, and liaise with regulatory bodies as needed. Hybrid work with onsite Burwood office.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

In this role, you'll:

• Provide expert level advice on the interpretation and use of reports/data extract from the Risk Register
• Manage and develop all aspects of the Risk Register including; governance process, data quality, application, and development of controls etc.
• Provide and present information to the executive leadership team on the organisation’s risk exposure to enable informed risk-based decision making.
• Provide and present information to Risk and Safety professionals within the business to support the application of risk-based decision making within the business units.
• Provide and present information within the Risk Register in response to requests from regulatory authorities or other external parties as required.

This permanent position is located in our Burwood office. The role is governed by our hybrid working model, which forms part of the organisation’s Flexible Working Arrangements and associated procedures. This includes a combination of required onsite attendance and approved remote working.

You’ll have professional experience in the development, management, and application of a risk register for a for a complex, high reliability environment. You’ll have demonstrated ability to provide expert level analysis of safety and operational risk data.

Your communication and collaboration skills will set you up for success in this role, as you will be required to work with and positively influence executives, the senior leadership team and professional peers in relation to the use and interpretation of safety risk reports and data.

You will have proven ability to accurately manipulate risk data (textual and numerical) within and between different software applications and reporting tools. You should have tertiary qualifications in a Risk relevant discipline.
