BDO Brisbane is seeking Senior Consultants to join the Internal Audit & Risk team. You will work with diverse clients to strengthen governance, manage risk, and build robust control environments.

The role involves leading engagements, delivering practical insights, and mentoring junior team members in a collaborative culture. Based in Brisbane, you will partner with clients across industries, contribute to business development, and help shape risk governance through innovative assurance

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in internal audit, risk consulting, governance, controls or a related field, ideally within professional services.
• Experience delivering client-facing projects and managing multiple priorities and engagements.
• Strong skills in risk assessment, audit planning and control evaluation.
• Knowledge of risk management and governance frameworks such as ISO 31000, COSO or similar assurance models.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels.

Responsabilités

• Lead internal audit engagements from planning through to fieldwork, reporting and stakeholder presentations.
• Conduct process walkthroughs, control testing and risk assessments to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop practical, value-adding recommendations to strengthen governance and controls.
• Assess and enhance enterprise risk management frameworks and governance structures.
• Support design and implementation of risk, compliance and assurance frameworks.
• Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on risk and governance.
