Job summary

HDI Global SE is seeking a Senior Risk Engineer to join HDI Risk Consulting in Australia. You will provide risk consulting across power generation assets, renewables, and infrastructure, supporting heavy industry and commercial properties.

The role involves travel across Australia and New Zealand, applying technical expertise to identify and reduce complex risks. The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred), with at least five years in engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred).
• Minimum five years’ experience in an engineering consulting environment, with at least 10 years’ overall experience within, or related to, the power generation industry.
• Power generation risk engineering experience is highly regarded.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven experience in technical report writing and delivering technical presentations, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A highly motivated, proactive approach and a genuine appetite for new challenges.
• The ability to build and maintain successful client relationships.
• Australian Citizenship or Permanent residency required.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist risk consulting services to landmark projects across Australia and New Zealand.
• Assess and reduce risks for power generation assets, renewables and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and deliver technical guidance.
• Develop and deliver risk reports and loss prevention seminars for clients.
• Manage risk engineering fees, costs and payments.
