Job summary

GHD in Darwin is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Northern Australia Power Team. In this Darwin-based role, you will work on projects across Power Delivery, Industrial Power, and Power Generation, delivering technical expertise and leading a team on complex design options.

You will liaise with utilities, prepare and review technical reports, verify project scopes, and contribute to tender responses while supporting business development and knowledge growth in Power Engineering.

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications in Electrical Engineering (BEng or equivalent acceptable to Engineers Australia).
• 8 to 10+ years’ experience in the design and delivery of power projects (renewables, industrial).
• Experience coordinating plant electrical works and design management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical expertise to clients and senior colleagues across multiple regions.
• Perform electrical engineering tasks, including design calculations and data analysis.
• Prepare and review technical reports and verify project scope.
• Undertake technical design and documentation of power and industrial projects.
• Lead technical delivery, coordinating a team on complex design options.
• Contribute to tender responses and job delivery management.
• Support business development by identifying new services and winning work.
