Job summary

Telstra is seeking a Senior Risk & Compliance Specialist to support the Compliance and Assurance COE, shaping assurance strategy and guiding cross-functional teams across risk and compliance functions. • Strong knowledge of audit, operational risk, compliance, and assurance frameworks.
• Ability to translate complex issues into actionable risk-based decisions.
• Experience with automation, analytics and AI to improve assurance quality.

Responsibilities

• Define assurance strategy and framework for the COE and assurance agenda.
• Contribute to annual assurance planning and prioritise risk-based activities.
• Guide business functions on consistent and proportionate execution of assurance.
• Deliver targeted assurance with specialist input when needed.
• Uplift operational excellence by simplifying processes and reducing waste.
• Identify opportunities to automated tests and streamline evidence capture.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate outcomes into uplift actions.
• Engage with automation and AI tools to accelerate assurance.
