Job summary

Insignia Financial is seeking an experienced risk and compliance professional to partner with multiple business units within the MLC Expand Wrap Business Line. The role focuses on delivering quality risk and compliance services to protect client and member outcomes.

You will provide guidance on risk, controls and compliance, support 1st Line activities, and contribute to governance forums. A tertiary qualification and 5+ years in financial services are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years risk/compliance experience within financial services.
• Experience coaching and mentoring team members is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of risk management concepts, frameworks and standards.
• Sound understanding of the Australian regulatory landscape.
• Change management experience with risk and compliance frameworks is desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive, coordinate and support in the provision of risk and compliance services within the Wrap Business Line.
• Provide insights into emerging risks and areas for improvement.
• Provide risk, control and compliance advice and guidance.
• Provide 1st Line risk and compliance support on incidents, breaches and issues.
• Facilitate identification and assessment of risks and controls against business objectives and core processes.
• Support obligation owners in determining whether appropriate controls exist to manage compliance.
• Perform testing of design and operating effectiveness of key risk and obligation related controls.
• Chair forums, working groups and committees as required.
