Job summary

Evolution Mining is seeking a Senior Return to Work Advisor at Cowal Gold Operation to support employee recovery and collaborate with health professionals and site leaders. You’ll drive injury management, develop RTW plans, and influence safe, sustainable outcomes.

As part of a safety-focused operation, you’ll monitor claims, coach leaders, and contribute to workforce wellbeing while embracing flexible rosters and regional lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing workplace injuries and workers compensation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and coaching skills.
• Knowledge of NSW workers compensation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex injury management and workers compensation cases through to recovery.
• Develop recovery at work plans with leaders, employees and medical providers.
• Provide advice on injury management and fitness for work matters.
• Monitor claims performance, identify trends and reduce costs.
• Coach leaders and strengthen organisational capability in injury management.

Reporting to the Superintendent - Safety, Health and Training, you'll:

• Lead complex injury management and workers compensation cases through to successful recovery outcomes.
• Partner with leaders, employees and medical providers to develop effective recovery at work plans.
• Provide trusted advice on injury management, workers compensation and fitness for work matters.
• Monitor claims performance, identify trends and deliver insights that improve outcomes and reduce costs.
• Coach leaders and strengthen organisational capability in injury management and return to work practices.
• Drive continuous improvement across injury management systems, procedures and governance.

Does this sound like you?

• Relevant qualifications in occupational health, rehabilitation, allied health, nursing, workers compensation, human resources or a related discipline.
• Current SIRA NSW Return to Work Coordinator training (or recognised equivalent).
• Significant experience managing workplace injuries, workers compensation claims and recovery at work programs.
• Demonstrated capability managing complex and high-risk cases independently.
• Strong working knowledge of NSW workers compensation and associated legislative requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, coaching and influencing skills.
• A current unrestricted driver's licence.
• Experience within mining, heavy industry, construction or another safety critical environment will be highly regarded.
