Job summary

Laing O’Rourke in Adelaide seeks a Senior Resourcing Advisor to join our national resourcing team. You will source and attract high-calibre talent for the AUKUS program, focusing on candidates eligible for Defence security clearance and Australian citizenship.

You will build partnerships with project stakeholders, manage pipelines for current and future vacancies, and provide market insights to support workforce planning. A proactive, results-driven mindset and strong network are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in talent acquisition or resourcing, managing high-volume recruitment across white-collar roles.
  • Defence recruitment experience or security-cleared hiring exposure is highly regarded.
  • Experience using recruitment systems, sourcing tools and talent platforms.
  • Proactive, self-motivated approach with ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • Strong understanding of the local talent market and established professional network.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels of the business.

About the role

We are currently seeking a Senior Resourcing Advisor to join our growing team in Adelaide. You’ll be joining a fun and supportive national resourcing team that are committed to achieving diversity and inclusion across our organisation.

Key responsibilities
  • Source and attract high‑calibre talent to support the AUKUS program, with a focus on Australian citizens eligible to obtain the required Defence security clearance.
  • Build strong partnerships with key project stakeholders to understand current and future workforce requirements and provide proactive recruitment support.
  • Develop and manage internal and external talent pipelines, ensuring quality candidates are available for immediate vacancies while building a strong pipeline to meet future project demands.
  • Provide market insights and recruitment advice to hiring managers, supporting informed workforce planning and hiring decisions.
About you
  • 5+ years' experience in talent acquisition or resourcing, managing high-volume recruitment across white-collar roles, ideally within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Defence recruitment experience or exposure to security‑cleared hiring is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience using a range of recruitment systems, sourcing tools, and talent platforms to deliver successful hiring outcomes.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong understanding of the local talent market, supported by an established professional network and the ability to identify and engage high-quality candidates.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the business.
