Job summary

Mineral Resources is seeking a Senior Resource Development Geologist to define and execute drilling programs that add value to resources, identify new ore bodies, and extend the Life of Mine for lithium operations. The role involves leading a team of Resource Development Geologists and engaging with stakeholders to ensure drilling requirements and program objectives are met.

You will report to the Superintendent, Lithium Resource Development, on a regular 8/6 roster at MinRes Lithium sites,

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Geology and relevant professional association membership are preferred.
Extensive experience in open pit and/or underground mining and Resource Development.
Strong leadership skills with ability to mentor a team and manage contractors.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership to junior Resource Development team members in safety and environmental stewardship.
Lead or participate in investigations of incidents and injuries with corrective actions implemented promptly.
Manage a team of Resource Development Geologists, including work planning, coaching and performance management.
Manage relationships with drilling, earthworks, water and rock suppliers while ensuring policy compliance.
Provide technical leadership in ore deposit modelling, data generation and QA/QC.
Design and execute Resource Development programs aligned with the mining strategy and LOM production profile.
