Job summary

The Institute for Molecular Bioscience at The University of Queensland is seeking a Senior Research Technician to join Professor Yengo’s Snow Fellowship Research Program. You will apply specialist statistical genetics and bioinformatics to large-scale genomic datasets and guide the research team to rigorous, high-impact outcomes.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Genetics or Genomics.
• Experience in statistical genetics and biobank data analysis.
• Expertise in identity-by-descent and local ancestry analyses.
• Advanced programming in R or similar language.
• Experience with GWAS and downstream analyses.
• Ability to supervise and develop junior staff.
• Strong communication and research integrity.
