Job summary

The Brain and Mind Centre at the University of Sydney is seeking a Senior Research Officer - Research Development to turn strategic priorities into high-impact funding opportunities. You will identify grants, coordinate multidisciplinary applications and manage partnerships across the Centre and externally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills for delivering project outcomes.
• Excellent written and oral communication for academic and non-academic audiences.
• Experience coordinating large multidisciplinary research funding applications and partnerships.
• Ability to work with broad supervision and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Guide research direction and align projects with Brain and Mind Centre strategy.
• Identify and coordinate grant management and pre-award activities for funding opportunities.
• Champion best practices in research governance and compliance.
• Build and manage internal/external partnerships to elevate research impact.
• Monitor risk, support health and safety, and ensure adherence to university policies.
