Job summary

The University of Queensland is seeking a Senior Research Assistant in Psychology to coordinate studies in mental health and apply advanced research methods. The role is based at the St Lucia campus in Brisbane, 40% FTE, fixed-term to 28 February 2027, with a competitive base salary and 17% super.

You will manage small-scale projects, design studies, maintain records, ensure ethics compliance, and contribute to reports and joint publications within a collaborative research environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a relevant degree in Psychology with experience coordinating research activities.
• Experience coordinating small-scale research projects and studies.
• Experience working in a psychology laboratory or quickly applying new knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to plan ahead to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication with stakeholders in a research setting.

Responsibilities

• Undertake advanced research activities and apply specialist knowledge using scientific methodologies.
• Coordinate small-scale studies and assist with study design and protocols.
• Maintain accurate experimental records and contribute to reports and manuscripts.
