Sharp & Carter is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineering Manager to lead the maintenance and reliability function at a brand‑new, highly automated FMCG site in Western Sydney. You will drive a shift from reactive to planned maintenance, stabilise new assets, and manage legacy equipment while owning the maintenance budget and spares strategy.

Qualifications

• Full Australian work rights, based in Sydney for the role.
• 5+ years in a senior reliability maintenance leadership role.
• Experience with asset-intensive sites and a high level of automation.
• Open to industries with heavy asset bases (food, packaging, pharma, oil and gas, mining, etc.).
• Strong leadership, culture-building and change-management capabilities.

Responsabilités

• Lead the on-site maintenance and reliability function, with 4 direct reports and a wider trades team.
• Shift maintenance from reactive to planned/preventive work, improving PM and schedule compliance.
• Stabilise newer assets during commissioning while managing legacy equipment performance.
• Identify critical failure points and implement criticality analysis, spares and RCA.
• Own the maintenance budget, contractor spend and spares strategy.
• Drive statutory, safety, environmental and food-safety compliance across plant/utilities.
• Govern CMMS use, planning, scheduling and shutdown delivery.
• Develop leadership capability and accountability across the trades workforce.
