Job summary

Profusion in Sydney is seeking a Senior Manager - Advisory | Regulatory Reporting to shape how a leading financial services group presents its position to regulators. You will resolve complex accounting and classification questions, establish defensible positions, and translate them into practical guidance for reporting integrity, collaborating with reporting teams and senior stakeholders.

You will lead one direct report and contribute to a four-person specialist advisory team, focusing on

Qualifications

• Business/commerce degree and professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA) with banking/financial services experience.
• Strong ability to connect accounting treatment to regulatory reporting outcomes and classifications.
• Proven stakeholder management and supervisory skills across senior Finance and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex accounting and classification questions for regulatory reporting.
• Establish defensible positions and translate them into practical guidance for reporting teams.
• Lead one direct report within a four-person advisory team.
• Advise reporting teams and senior stakeholders on APRA, ABS, and RBA requirements.
• Provide technical explanations and evidence to external regulators and agencies.
• Frame ambiguous problems, weigh interpretations, and advise on recommended positions.
