Job summary

Naiman Clarke is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel in Sydney to lead a seasoned regulatory standards team. This role focuses on complex external interventions, guiding professionals through regulatory obligations and enhancing compliance across NSW.

You will shape strategy, mentor staff, and oversee critical operational processes. The position leverages extensive private practice and law firm management experience to support professional standards and regulatory outcomes, driving effective service

Qualifications

15+ years PQE in regulatory/professional standards.
Experience leading a team of solicitors and paralegals.
Experience conducting external interventions.
Experience supervising trust accounts and regulatory compliance.
Ability to prepare regulatory reports and legal advice.
Strong stakeholder relationships and regulatory guidance.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team, overseeing workloads and performance.
Oversee operational activities in line with requirements.
Monitor financial and administrative processes for accuracy and compliance.
Provide practical guidance to practitioners navigating challenges.
Prepare regulatory reports, legal advice and recommendations for senior management.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
