Job summary

Auto & General is seeking a highly motivated recovery specialist to manage an allocated caseload of recovery claims in Australia. You will initiate proactive outbound contact, investigate claims, and negotiate settlements to maximise recovery outcomes while delivering exceptional service to customers and third parties.

You will identify first-line risks, understand liability and Australian road rules, and apply the litigation process knowledge to determine the best resolution path for each claim

Qualifications

Debt recovery experience.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Strong understanding of liability and Australian road rules.
Motor claims insurance experience.
Knowledge of legislative, regulatory and compliance obligations.
Understanding of the litigation process including quantum and state requirements.

Responsibilities

Manage an allocated caseload of recovery claims.
Initiate proactive outbound calls to progress recovery claims.
Negotiate settlements favourable to outcomes.
Identify first-line risks and potential financial hardship.
Provide exceptional service to customers and third parties.
Assess and determine the appropriate resolution path for each claim.
Handle inbound queries related to recovery claims.
