Job summary

Northwest Center in Redmond is seeking a Senior Receptionist to greet guests, answer inquiries, and support front-desk operations across Amazon campuses. You will help escalate issues and ensure a professional, welcoming environment in a fast-paced corporate setting.

The role requires mobility around the campus, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and flexibility to work shifts from 7:20AM to 3:50PM or 9:35AM to 6:05PM. Northwest Center offers extensive benefits and career development.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a front desk environment.

• Must travel between Amazon buildings within a 1.5 radius.

Responsibilities

• Be attentive and provide exceptional customer service to Amazonians, clients, contractors, and visitors by phone, email or in person.
• Act as the point of reference for guests and Amazon employees needing assistance or information and help resolve escalations.
• Oversee the front desk and front office activities including opening/closing service locations.
• Partner with Receptionist on multi-person desks.
• Manage inventory at desks and communicate needs to Lead Receptionist.
• Maintain knowledge of scheduled events, maintenance, and service provider locations.
• Hang and maintain customer posters to keep a presentable environment.
• Support Banana Stand and Special Events as needed.
• Provide coverage across multiple buildings in fast-paced and quieter environments.

The Northwest Center @ Amazon team operates in a fast-paced and demanding corporate environment where we provide professional 5-star customer service across several program divisions. The Senior Receptionist is Amazon’s face and voice to its clients and their guests when they come to campus. A Senior Receptionist will be a resource for our frontline receptionists. Using their years of professional experience and knowledge they will help resolve any escalations, be the example of pro-active engagement and maintain the high quality of service we look to provide our guests. In this role, they will assist with a variety of administrative activities and tasks including greeting and checking in guests, distributing badges, providing resources to callers, and assisting with projects and audits. Location:

Redmond (must be flexible to in Bellevue and Kirkland)

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 7:20AM – 3:50PM and 9:35AM - 6:05PM (must have open availability to work both shifts as scheduled)

Wage:

Starting Wage: $25.24 per hour

Key responsibilities

• Provide coverage across multiple buildings, adapting to both fast-paced and quieter environments as needed.

• Ability to maintain composure and good judgment in fast-paced, high-stress environments.
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Must be able to potentially lift or carry items up to 50 pounds
• Requires travel to several Amazon buildings so the ability to walk consistently within a 1.5 radius is required
• The position requires standing and mobility around the campus for long periods of time up to the entire length of the shift
• Ability to work independently and out of line of sight from other team members for all or part of shift
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including occasionally arriving early, staying late on a moment’s notice and occasional evening
• This is a dog friendly environment with over 1000 dogs on campus. Individuals with dog allergies or those who do not particularly care for dogs may not be the best fit
