Job summary

Domain Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive technical direction across engineering initiatives and architect scalable, high-performance web systems. You will mentor the team, review code, and ensure solutions align with the engineering strategy using React, TypeScript, and Next.js.

You’ll collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to deliver customer-centric outcomes, tackle technical debt, and participate in on-call rotations to keep platforms reliable and secure.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience building scalable, high-traffic web apps using modern patterns such as Micro Frontends, SPA, and SSR.
• Experience with GraphQL, AWS, Docker, and modern CI/CD practices.
• Proficiency in Agile development environments.
• Collaborative mindset across Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
• Demonstrated mentoring of junior engineers and driving engineering best practices.
• Familiarity with OWASP and modern Application Security Practices.
• Deep understanding of web performance and Core Web Vitals.

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality, scalable web solutions and contribute to continuous improvement across the technology landscape.
• Demonstrate expertise in web performance optimisation, focusing on Core Web Vitals.
• Address technical debt, improve system performance, and influence engineering standards across teams.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, partnering with Product Managers and Designers to deliver customer-centric outcomes.
• Take ownership of operational excellence, including on-call rotations and incident response to improve reliability and security.
