Job summary

Talent is seeking Senior Mobile Application Developers / Software Engineers for a large federal government agency to design, build and support native mobile applications across iOS and Android, using React Native in TypeScript.

The role is part of a digital transformation program moving to React Native and modern front-end portals, with a hybrid 2/3 work pattern in Melbourne or Geelong VIC. Eligibility requires Australian citizenship and the contract spans 12 months with an extension option.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering mobile apps on iOS and Android.
• Strong React Native and TypeScript expertise.
• Experience with Expo bridging to native layers.
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards.
• Experience in Agile delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy and support mobile apps for iOS and Android.
• Integrate apps with REST and GraphQL back-ends.
• Collaborate with UX/UI, product and QA in Agile delivery.
• Ensure security, accessibility and performance requirements.
• Contribute to CI/CD and code reviews.
• Provide technical design input and documentation.
