Job summary

Zurich Cover-More in Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Front-end Developer to drive the design and delivery of scalable web applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product owners and backend engineers to ship end-to-end features with robust testing and quality assurance.

The role offers a hybrid work model with 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely, and you will be part of a global group delivering proactive care and support to travellers

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in front-end software development, with a focus on scalable web applications.
• Computer Science or related degree, with a significant programming component.
• Advanced proficiency in React.js and its ecosystem.
• Strong experience with Tailwind CSS and modern styling techniques.
• Familiarity with software design principles and architectural patterns (e.g., MVC, MVVM, component-based architecture).
• Extensive experience in defining and implementing robust testing strategies that uphold code quality, system reliability, and long‑term maintainability.
• Collaborates effectively with designers, product owners, and backend engineers to deliver complete end‑to‑end features.
• Demonstrated ability to own complex technical challenges, make sound architectural decisions, and drive solutions through to successful delivery.

Responsibilities

• Step into an instrumental role, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, driving the success of our projects to enable us to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Execute full lifecycle software development.
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
• Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures.
• Testing the product in controlled, real situations before going live.
• Comply with project plans and industry standards.
