Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Design Project Manager (Rail) to lead delivery of major rail and transport infrastructure projects across NSW.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, own project outcomes, and ensure performance across scope, schedule, quality and risk. Reporting to the Discipline Manager, you will nurture client relationships, support business development, and foster a proactive, safety-focused team culture throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in project management and/or design management within the rail sector.
• Demonstrated success delivering complex infrastructure projects through design phases.
• Strong commercial acumen, including management of budgets, fees, schedules and risk.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and consultant interfaces.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and client relationship management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of rail and transport infrastructure projects from planning through to completion.
• Take ownership of project outcomes, including program, budget, risk, quality and commercial performance.
• Establish and manage project execution plans in line with KBR's project delivery frameworks.
• Provide governance, assurance and strategic guidance across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Manage project interfaces and stakeholder relationships to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
• Support project and design managers in identifying, mitigating and escalating delivery risks.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with KBR's quality management systems and project controls.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams across civil, structural, building services, environmental and specialist disciplines.
• Manage internal teams and external subconsultants to achieve project objectives.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing and safety-focused team culture.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and support to project personnel.
