Job summary

b-g on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Building Services/Facility Management Engineer for an approximately six-month engagement starting September 2026, supporting inspection, assessment and technical assurance of Rail Building Services infrastructure. The role blends site inspections with desktop engineering review.

You will inspect recently constructed infrastructure, identify defects, review designs and maintenance information, and provide practical engineering advice on remediation.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified mechanical or hydraulic engineer.
• Experience conducting asset inspections, audits or testing.
• Ability to interpret designs, drawings and maintenance records.

Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed inspections and technical assessments of FM rail assets
• Identify and document defects and areas requiring investigation
• Provide engineering advice on defect treatment, remediation, and repair
• Review existing designs, maintenance records and asset information
• Prepare clear technical reports and recommendations
