Job summary

Indigenous Business Growth seeks a Senior Rail Asset Inspection & Assurance RPEQ Engineer for a six‑month engagement on rail infrastructure projects. The role combines site inspections with desktop engineering review and formal reporting.

You will inspect assets, identify defects, and provide practical remediation recommendations, including use of drones and digital inspection tools. Flexibility to work around live rail operations is required.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified engineer with current RPEQ registration.
• Experience in light rail and/or heavy rail assets and inspections.
• Ability to interpret drawings, maintenance records and asset information.
• Experience working in operational rail environments and signing off final reports.

Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed inspections and technical assessments of rail assets.
• Assess track condition and alignment for light/heavy rail.
• Identify and document defects and areas needing investigation.
• Provide engineering advice on defect treatment and remediation.
