Job summary
Metro Trains Sydney is seeking a Senior Engineer, BRA Civil & Structures to join our Engineering and Maintenance Delivery team. Reporting to the Principal Engineer Track & Civil, you will oversee BRA civil and structural assets, manage defect remediation strategies, and support risk-based asset performance improvements.
You will monitor defects, prepare impact notices, and coordinate remediation plans with verifiable evidence.
Qualifications
- Qualified Civil Engineer with rail infrastructure experience.
- Strong track record in maintenance planning and defect remediation.
- Experience with asset performance optimisation and root cause analysis.
Responsibilities
- Monitor BRA civil defects and specified assets.
- Prepare impact notices supported by drawings, photos and reports.
- Review, update and close out Agreed Remediation Plans.
- Monitor SW TMP delivery and defect management.
- Coordinate and close out physical works with verifiable evidence.
- Analyse defect trends and support Asset Management Plan requirements.
- Contribute to technology uplift initiatives.
- Support updates to the annual Maintenance Works Program.
- Undertake risk assessments and support safety-first culture.
