Job summary

McNamara Law is seeking an Experienced Conveyancer to manage a portfolio of residential conveyancing matters from contract through settlement, with support from an established property team and supervising solicitor.

You will review REIQ contracts, coordinate searches and settlements (including PEXA), and liaise with clients, real estate agents and lenders. Flexible hours and office options are offered across Brisbane, Ipswich or Springfield Central.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in Queensland residential conveyancing.
• Sound knowledge of REIQ contracts, Titles Queensland procedures and transfer duty requirements.
• Practical experience using PEXA to complete electronic settlements.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a busy file load.
• Clear, professional communication and commitment to exceptional client service.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team.
• A conveyancing or legal studies qualification will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage residential conveyancing matters from contract to settlement.
• Review REIQ contracts and monitor critical dates.
• Order and review property searches and prepare transfer and transfer duty documentation.
• Assist with seller disclosure statements in accordance with the Property Law Act 2023 (Qld).
• Prepare settlement statements, adjustments and associated documentation.
• Coordinate electronic settlements through PEXA.
• Liaise with clients, real estate agents, mortgage brokers, banks and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate file records and follow client identification, trust accounting and internal compliance procedures.
• Manage competing priorities and settlement deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and service.
