Job summary

Laing O’Rourke in Australia is hiring a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Contracts Administrator to join our AUKUS team in Osborne, SA. You’ll oversee cost planning, budgets and cash flow for complex defence infrastructure projects, ensuring commercial integrity and timely reporting.

Attained MRICS is preferred; 7+ years in quantity surveying; degree in Construction Management, Building or Engineering; strong Excel skills; eligibility for Australian Citizenship and NV1 level clearance.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification or working towards it.
• Minimum 7 years’ post graduate quantity surveying experience in construction.
• Degree in Construction Management, Building, Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, cost planning, forecasting, cash flow and financial reporting.
• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities to optimise project outcomes.
• Oversee change management, claims, extensions of time and commercial entitlements.
• Build and maintain strong client, stakeholder and supply chain relationships while influencing successful project delivery.

About you

• Attained or working towards obtaining MRICS.
• Minimum 7years’ post graduate experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Construction Management, Building, Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Microsoft software especially Excel.
• Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
