Job summary

Laing O’Rourke seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our AUKUS team delivering major defence infrastructure at Osborne, SA. You’ll manage budgets, assess risks, oversee change and maintain key client/stakeholder relationships to drive successful project outcomes.

Required MRICS status, 7+ years’ PQE in quantity surveying and a relevant Construction/Engineering degree. Australian citizenship and ability to obtain NV1 clearance are needed.

Qualifications

• Attained or working towards MRICS.
• Minimum 7 years’ post graduate experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Construction Management, Building, Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Microsoft Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, cost planning, forecasting, cash flow and financial reporting.
• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities to optimise project outcomes.
• Oversee change management, claims, extensions of time and commercial entitlements.
• Build and maintain strong client, stakeholder and supply chain relationships while influencing successful project delivery.
