Job summary

Thompson Health Care is an award-winning aged care provider seeking an experienced Quality and Compliance Officer to strengthen quality systems, monitor regulatory compliance and promote a culture of continuous improvement across our homes. The role reports to the Director of Quality and Compliance Excellence and involves desktop and onsite audits, with regular travel to Thompson Health Care homes.

Qualifications

• Current Police Check (National Police Certificate) is essential.
• Strong knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory requirements.
• Experience conducting audits and supporting corrective action and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor quality assurance processes across Thompson Health Care homes.
• Conduct desktop and onsite audits of services, systems and documentation.
• Identify compliance gaps and work with operational teams to implement corrective actions.
• Monitor audit recommendations and support timely completion of improvement actions.
• Provide guidance, education and training to staff on quality and compliance matters.
• Support management of complaints, including information gathering and documenting outcomes.
• Analyze incidents, complaints and quality indicators to identify trends and risks.
• Prepare reports for management and regulatory purposes.
• Maintain records of audits, inspections and compliance activities.
• Support development and implementation of policies, procedures and the Clinical Governance Framework.
• Facilitate quality improvement discussions and workshops.
