Job summary

WOODplc is seeking a QA / QC Lead for the Surat Basin project in western Queensland. You will direct the Quality team, lead audits, and ensure delivery of high-quality, customer-focused services throughout the project lifecycle.

You will implement quality plans, manage audits, and drive improvements while collaborating with the Contract and Project teams to meet contractual and regulatory obligations. This role requires strong leadership and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Quality role
• Ability to work independently with initiative and interpersonal skills
• Interface with client and Wood team/vendors to implement quality requirements
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities

Responsibilities

• Prepare a Contract quality plan and keep it updated through the project lifecycle
• Schedule audits with risk assessment by the Contract team and conduct audits
• Define ITP Master Listing for the contract lifecycle
• Assign QA resources and clarify responsibilities within the Quality team
• Review subcontractor quality submissions prior to award
• Utilise Wood quality systems (IMPact & iMap) and close outstanding actions
• Oversee Project Management Review programs with data collection and reporting
• Plan and approve audit reports per the Audit Programme
• Regularly review audit risk ratings with Contract/Project Manager
• Provide QA/QC training guidance to the broader Contract team
• Approve project audit reports through the appropriate authority
• Coordinate quality risk assessments for audits
• Conduct supplier quality management audits
• Coordinate verification/inspection of project deliverables against contract and regulatory requirements
