Job description

RCR Mining Technologies (RCRMT) is seeking an experienced Senior QA/QC Coordinator to join our Welshpool team.

Please note this role is on a 12 month fixed term contract.

About the Role

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this position is responsible for coordinating the QA/QC section of the manufacturing Department. This includes reviewing and monitoring the quality processes and procedures to ensure applicable quality requirements are implemented and maintained. Also to assist the QA/QC Coordinator with document preparation and reviews as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and implementation of associated QA/QC aspects of the RCR Management system including, but not limited to ITPs, Quality Plans & MDRs.
• Ensure compliance with all aspects of the RCR Quality System, project specifications, standards and procedures always through physical inspections and/or review of output or completions documentation.
• Highlight and resolve QC and technical issues within the manufacturing and stores business units.
• Completion, reviews and maintenance of RCR’s ITPs, MDRs, Work Packs, Traceability Registers and associated quality documentation throughout the manufacturing business units.
• Carry out and monitor the progressive compilation of manufacturing workshop MDRs and review the same for completeness and accuracy.
• Issue Inspection release certificates as and where required when satisfied that all quality requirements have been met.
• Assessment and inspection of vendors to ensure RCR Mining Technologies quality requirement adherence.
• Report all Nonconformances back to relevant stake holders, whilst collaborating with the Team to assist in reducing NCR’s
• Active use of RCRs SAI360 system to facilitate corrective actions to further improve quality outcomes within the manufacturing business units.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Welding Supervisor and/or Welding Inspector certification (desirable)
• 5 years’ experience in QA/QC within fabrication, mining, or heavy industry (essential)
• Strong knowledge of welding processes, inspection, and NDT requirements (desirable)
• Coating Inspector Qualifications are also desirable.
• Experience interpreting and applying relevant Australian Standards (desirable)
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
