Job summary

CoStar Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to drive quality engineering excellence across product and engineering teams in Australia.

You’ll coach, mentor, and advocate shift-left testing practices, embedding quality from the earliest development stages and partnering with engineers, product managers, and designers to raise the quality maturity of the organization. You will design and implement automated testing across web, API, and mobile platforms using Cypress, Playwright, Cucumber,

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience with shift-left testing in agile product development environments.
• Proficient with Cypress, Playwright, Cucumber and Postman tooling.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern delivery practices (Jenkins, GitHub).
• Strong ability to influence engineering teams and coach for quality ownership.

Responsibilities

• Champion shift-left testing practices across the SDLC.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks for web, API, and mobile platforms.
• Drive testing strategies balancing unit, integration, API, E2E, accessibility, and exploratory testing.
• Partner with engineers, product managers, and designers to improve testability and early risk identification.
• Coach engineers on quality engineering best practices, automation, and testing approaches.
• Drive continuous improvement of quality standards, tooling, and processes.
• Advise on embedding automated testing and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.
• Foster a culture of shared ownership of quality across teams.
• Support non-functional testing including performance, security, and accessibility.
