Healthcare Professionals Group in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement & Planning Specialist for a hands-on role in a global medical technology organisation. You will manage purchasing, supplier coordination, and inventory to meet manufacturing needs and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with complex manufacturing sectors (medical devices, diagnostics, engineering, automotive, defence).
• SAP experience across procurement, inventory, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day purchasing to ensure component availability.
• Build supplier relationships and monitor delivery performance.
• Coordinate POs, follow-ups, and expediting to minimise disruptions.
• Support production planning and inventory control.
• Utilise SAP to monitor requirements and improve reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement with priorities.
• Identify opportunities to streamline purchasing and inventory controls.
• Apply Lean and continuous improvement to workflows.
• Provide guidance to colleagues on procurement and planning.
