Job summary

Qualifications

• Policy development experience including analysing information and developing solutions.
• Strong written briefs, emails and concise reports tailored to audiences.
• Ability to assess, prioritise and advise on options, risks and mitigations.
• Ability to communicate policy to staff and stakeholders and build relationships.
• Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop advice on public sector policy based on legislation and government policy.
• Prepare timely reports, briefs and correspondence aligned with government policies.
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders and accurately represent the department's views.
• Contribute to a positive, learning-focused, innovative organisational culture.
• Undertake other duties aligned with the grade and department responsibilities.
