Job summary

Service NSW is seeking a Senior Procurement Advisor to lead construction procurement activities for our NSW teams in Sydney. The role supports fit-outs and refurbishments across site projects and requires proven probity, tendering, and regulatory expertise.

You will drive sourcing strategies, document decisions for audit, and collaborate with project managers to align procurement with budgets and timelines. The position is hybrid and initially temporary through November 2028.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in public sector construction procurement
• Understanding government procurement frameworks
• Experience facilitating tender evaluations
• Excellent written communication for funding submissions
• Strong stakeholder management across multiple projects

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement for the construction team, shaping sourcing strategies and managing activities from planning and tendering through to contract award
• Document procurement processes, decisions and contractual arrangements fully to provide an audit trail for probity and audit purposes
• Provide expert advice on regulatory compliance and assurance to ensure procurement processes align with NSW government and DCS Procurement Policy
• Facilitate tender evaluations for the appointment of head contractors, guiding evaluation panels through fair, transparent and well-documented decisions
• Prepare compelling briefs to secure funding and approval for proposed procurement strategies and go-to-market activities
• Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to align procurement with delivery priorities, budgets and timeframes
