Job summary

St Peters Lutheran College Springfield is seeking a passionate Secondary Teacher for Psychology and Science on a maximum term contract. The role focuses on Senior Psychology (Years 11–12) and Junior Secondary Science, with a commitment to high-quality teaching and student relationships.

The successful applicant will register with the QCT, bring expertise in Queensland curriculum, and contribute to pastoral care and co-curricular life at the College.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
• Experience and demonstrated expertise teaching Senior Psychology.
• Experience teaching Secondary Science.
• Strong knowledge of the Queensland curriculum and senior assessment requirements.
• Contemporary and effective classroom management practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to student wellbeing and academic growth.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Psychology programs for Years 11 and 12.
• Teach Science across junior secondary year levels.
• Create learning experiences that promote curiosity, critical thinking and inquiry.
• Prepare students for senior assessment and foster interest in psychology and sciences.
• Use data and feedback to maximise student progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality teaching and pastoral care.
