Job summary

St Peters Lutheran College Springfield NSW is seeking a passionate Secondary Teacher to lead Psychology (Years 11–12) and Science across junior secondary. This full-time, maximum-term contract runs January to June 2027.

You will deliver engaging Psychology programs, teach Science across years, and foster curiosity, critical thinking and evidence-based inquiry while supporting student wellbeing and Christian ethos.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
• Experience and demonstrated expertise teaching Senior Psychology.
• Experience teaching Secondary Science.
• Strong knowledge of the Queensland curriculum and senior assessment requirements.
• Contemporary and effective classroom management practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to student wellbeing and academic growth.
• Support for the Christian ethos and values of St Peters Lutheran College.

Responsibilities

• Delivering engaging and rigorous Psychology programs for Years 11 and 12.
• Teaching Science across junior secondary year levels.
• Creating learning experiences that promote curiosity, critical thinking and evidence-based inquiry.
• Preparing students for success in senior assessment while fostering a genuine interest in psychology and the sciences.
• Using data and feedback to maximise student progress and achievement.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality teaching and pastoral care.
• Contributing to the broader life of the College through co-curricular and community activities.
