Job summary

Latrobe Regional Health is seeking a Clinical Educator - Psychology on a full-time, 1.0 EFT, 12-month fixed-term basis to lead educational programs, supervise staff, and foster professional development across psychology services.

The role focuses on advancing evidence-based practice, workforce capability, and multidisciplinary collaboration, with opportunities to influence clinical governance and education strategy within LRH.

Qualifications

• Fully registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Extensive clinical experience with >10 years post-registration practice; expertise in assessment, intervention, and evidence-based therapies.
• Proven experience in clinical education, supervision, mentoring, and workforce development for psychologists, registrars, students, and multidisciplinary professionals.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to influence practice, support professional growth, and drive continuous quality improvement.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills across healthcare, education, and community settings.
• Passionate about developing others and advancing contemporary psychological practice to improve mental health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, coordination, and delivery of clinical education, supervision, and professional development programs for psychologists, registrars, and students.
• Provide expert clinical supervision, mentoring, and guidance to support professional growth and workforce capability.
• Coordinate psychology student placements, registrar training pathways, and partnerships with universities and external providers.
• Plan and deliver psychological education programs for multidisciplinary clinicians, peers, carers, families, and community stakeholders.
• Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, policy implementation, and compliance with standards.
• Support a culture of continuous learning, professional excellence, and service improvement across psychology and mental health services.
