Consolidated Power Projects Australia in Adelaide seeks a Senior Engineer – Protection to join our in-house Design & Engineering team. You will provide protection engineering expertise for high-voltage substations and renewable energy projects, developing protection philosophies, relay settings, and fault studies.

You'll collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams through design, commissioning, and energisation, supporting safe and reliable operation of projects across Australia’s renewable energy

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in protection engineering within HV substations and renewable energy projects.
• Experience developing protection philosophies, relay settings, fault calculations and protection studies.
• Knowledge of protection relay technologies (Siemens, ABB, GE, SEL).
• Experience using power system analysis software such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
• Understanding of Australian utility standards and protection design practices.
• Experience supporting commissioning and energisation activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist protection engineering across design and delivery of HV transmission and renewable projects.
• Develop protection philosophies, relay settings, fault studies and protection schemes.
• Support commissioning, energisation, and outage switching activities.
• Troubleshoot protection systems and collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
