Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Senior Legal Adviser to join its Melbourne in-house team, focusing on property, leasing and development matters. You will partner with stakeholders to deliver pragmatic, commercially oriented legal advice and support across project lifecycles from inception through completion.

You'll engage in negotiations, due diligence and contract management, with opportunities to mentor colleagues and contribute to legal technology and best practices. Hybrid work model available.

Qualifications

• Degree in law and current practising certificate in Australia.
• Significant post-admission experience in-house or private practice with property, leasing and development expertise.
• Experience negotiating with commercial clients and counter parties.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercially focused legal advice on property, leasing and development matters.
• Support leasing transactions, property acquisitions, disposals and related due diligence.
• Advise on development projects and related contracts, including construction and consultancy agreements.
• Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to best practice within the property legal function.
